Bulky Waste Collection – Apartments
Apartment complex five (5) storeys and under
From July 1, 2021, all apartment complexes five (5) storeys and under will receive a monthly bulky waste collection on the third week of each month.
A complex is entitled to place up to five (5) cubic metres of bulky waste on the kerbside for collection and Council’s waste collection contractor (Cleanaway) will collect it on either Thursday or Friday of your scheduled collection week.
Bulky waste can be placed on the kerbside from the Saturday before your collection week up until the Wednesday night of your collection week and must be placed in a neat pile in front of your complex.
Apartment complex six (6) storeys and above
From July 1, 2021, strata management can book user pays bulky waste collections for your apartment complex. Individual residents will not be able to book a service directly. Individual residents must contact their Strata Manager to enquire about the next booked bulky waste collection at your complex. Strata can access resident advisory resources on Council’s website.
The service allows your complex to have five (5) cubic metres of bulky waste collected from an agreed on-property collection location for $150 plus GST per collection. Payment is required at the time of making the booking, either by credit or debit card.
The service is provided by Council’s waste collection contractor (Cleanaway), who will manage the booking and payment.
Strata management can make an on-property bulky waste collection booking by calling the Waste Hotline on 13 70 30, between 8.30am and 5pm Monday to Friday. The service will occur within two weeks of making the booking.
Strata management will be responsible for arrangements to present the bulky waste to the agreed on-property collection location from onsite storage rooms.
