Sydney North Planning Panel meetings (SNPP)
Sydney District and Regional Planning Panels (planning panels) are independent bodies that strengthen decision making on regionally significant development applications and other planning matters including certain planning proposals and Aboriginal land planning. Hornsby Shire is part of the Sydney North Planning Panel (SNPP) which make decisions on significant development that affects the local region, including projects with a value of over $30 million.
Schedule
Public meetings are held for contentious matters with significant community interest, where 10 or more unique submissions by way of objection have been received by the local council. The purpose of the meeting is for the panel to hear from those who wish to express their views on the DA before a decision is made.
- Note: For a submission to be considered ‘unique’ it must be distinctive or unlike any other submission.
Public meetings can be held in person, by video link or other electronic means. Please check the Planning Panels website prior to each public meeting for full details.
