Notice of change to Business and Industrial zone names
The state government has renamed ‘business and industrial zones’ to ‘employment zones’.
From 26 April 2023, a reference to a former Business or Industrial zone under an environmental planning instrument (other than a state environmental planning policy) should be taken to reference to a new Employment zone under the environmental planning instrument (other than a state environmental planning policy).
The previous and new zone names are provided in the table below.

This amendment was made by the Standard Instrument (Local Environmental Plans) Amendment (Land Use Zones) Order 2022 (Amending Order).
