How long will the outdoor pool be closed for / what are the dates of the closure?
The 50m pool will be closing from 10am, Saturday 1 July and we anticipate the works will take 2-3 weeks* (*Weather dependant).

How long will the reception area be closed for / what are the dates of the closure?
The reception area is now open again.

Why do it in the school holidays? Why not wait until after the school holidays?
While we recognise that this closure during school holidays is not ideal for some users of the facility, scheduling the works in winter causes the least amount of impact to patrons overall and fewest disruptions to the regular training groups and programming.

What do the works entail?
Repairs will be undertaken to fix a leaking expansion joint in the 50m pool and replace the flooring in the reception area.

Will the Learn to Swim classes and squads be impacted?
Outdoor junior squads will be impacted, however, our Learn to Swim holiday program will still run in the 17m lanes of the leisure pool.

Will Aquatics classes still run?
Aquatics classes will be reduced, and some will run indoors – please check the website for details.

What else is happening at the centre while the pool is closed? And what specific activities will be impacted during the school holidays?
Only activities during this time that are usually scheduled to take place in the outdoor 50m pool will be impacted. The rest of the Centre remains available.
