Meet R.A. Spratt at this exciting event to celebrate The Children’s Book Council of Australia’s Book Week 2024 and its theme; Reading is Magic

R.A. Spratt is the bestselling author of dozens of absurd and witty books including Friday Barnes, The Adventures of Nanny Piggins, The Peski Kids, and the Shockingly and Astonishingly Good Stories collections.

R.A Spratt has written for television shows, specialising in children’s animation in recent years. Her podcast ‘Bedtime Stories with R.A. Spratt’ was launched in February 2020 and now has a huge following from around the world.

R.A. Spratt’s first book, The Adventures of Nanny Piggins, was published in Australia in March, 2009 and the USA in August, 2010. Booklist (the American Library Association’s publication) judged it to be the ‘Top of the List’ best youth fiction for 2010.

Living with her husband and two daughters in Bowral, Australia, she enjoys gardening and napping, but rarely gets the time to do either. Together they have three chickens, two goldfish, and a desperately needy dog.

This event will be followed by a book signing and there will be books available to purchase at the Library.

Age: 5+. Children 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

*Tickets required for all attendees including children and adults accompanying children.
