This 5.5 hour (10km) challenging circuit walk starts along the Sphinx Track, then Warrimoo Track and back along the Bobbin Head Trail in Ku-ring-gai Chase NP.

This a relatively long walk goes through open forest, woodland, gully rainforest and mangrove communities, we examine the species present, discuss the heritage values of Bobbin Head, the Sphinx and the several Aboriginal sites, as well as park management issues such as fire and pest management. We also have time to admire some great views of Cowan Creek and spend some time at Bobbin Head.

Grade: 4 (challenging). More information about walk grades
Suitability: Adults and teens with some bushwalking experience and a reasonable level of fitness. Not suitable for young children or toddlers.
Supervision: Participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Please note:

  • Meeting place details given upon booking confirmation.
  • Mobile reception is unreliable on this event.
  • Park use fees apply if parking inside Ku-ring-gai Chase NP. We recommend you park outside the KCNP entrance on Bobbin Head Road.
  • Please be to the meeting point by 8:30am.
