From the top of the ridge this three-hour (4 km), moderately challenging bushwalk descends down a narrow track to Waratah Bay on the quiet waters of Cowan Creek.

On the way we will visit warm temperate rainforest in Waratah Gully.  Then onto Waratah Bay where we view the remains of the Windybank family's settlement and boat yard before heading back up the switchback path to Berowra Station.

Grade: 3 (moderately challenging). More information about walk grades
Suitability: 
AAdults and older teens (16-19 years) with some bushwalking experience and a moderate level of fitness.
Supervision: Supervision: Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
