The Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages Victoria has been keeping records of significant life moments since the mid 1800s. Records are restricted for between 30 and 100 years, depending on the life event. You can search historical indexes of births, baptisms, marriages, burials and deaths dating back to as early as 1836.
