Road work on Pacific Highway, Mount Colah

The NSW Government is carrying out essential maintenance work across the State road network.

We will be installing new kerb and guttering and reconstructing the road shoulder along a section of Pacific Highway, Mount Colah.

What work are we doing?

Work includes:

  • constructing a new kerb and gutter between 552 Pacific Highway and Cowan Road
  • reconstructing the road shoulder and associated line marking next to 552 Pacific Highway.

When we will be working

We will be onsite for up to seven shifts between Monday 27 May and Sunday 30 June 2024. Exact dates will depend on weather and other site conditions.

Our work hours will be 8pm to 5am, Sunday to Friday. We will not work on Saturdays or public holidays.

Work is carried out at night to minimise traffic disruption and reduce safety risks to workers and motorists.

What will this mean for you?

You may notice:

  • workers and vehicles
  • traffic controllers and signage
  • road closures and reduced speed limits
  • noise from machinery and equipment.

Managing our impacts

This includes:

  • reducing our noise as much as possible
  • turning off equipment when not in use
  • positioning equipment away from homes and businesses
  • completing noisier tasks by midnight.

Traffic Changes

You may notice:

  • temporary traffic changes during work hours to ensure the work zone is safe
  • traffic diversions and lane changes during construction.

Please keep to speed limits and follow the direction of traffic controllers and signs.
