Investigation work on Quarry Road, Dural
Sydney Water and Confluence Water are planning to install new water mains in multiple locations across North-West Sydney to service the growing community, particularly around the North West Metro line. One water main will be installed in the Hornsby Shire LGA, on Quarry Road in Dural.
Investigations
Before we start our work, we need to carry out on-site investigations including potholing and service locating to confirm ground conditions. These investigations are planned to start on Wednesday 7 August and take about five weeks to complete, weather permitting. Our work hours are Monday to Friday 7 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 8 am to 1 pm (if required). Our work will be done intermittently during this five-week period.
Traffic and parking Impacts
There will be some changes to traffic conditions during our investigation work, however our traffic controllers will help safely redirect traffic and pedestrians around our work areas. Some on street parking will be temporarily unavailable for residents but our team will let residents know before we start our investigation work so they can safely move their vehicles if required.
Restoration
Our work is within the road and footpath/verge. Once our work is complete, we’ll temporarily restore all areas of road and footpath.
Community
We’ll send a notification to residents at least 7 days in advance to provide notice for the work timing and impacts. We’ll also have site signage directing any enquiries or complaints to our project line 1900 943 119 and email address confluence@sydneywater.com.au
