Greenway Park
Council is undertaking significant capital works within the Greenway Park Precinct to provide increased and improved open space for the local community.

The seven sporting clubs that call Cherrybrook’s Greenway Park home include:

Works have commenced on the power and water upgrade to the site, with over 50% of the trenching works and laying of pipes already completed.
July 2024
In June, the lower level of the community building was cleared, and earthworks commenced on the ground floor slab.
In July, footings for the ground floor slab will be poured. The slab is scheduled to go down before the end of the month.
Council is also working on upgrading the power and water to the site and has been undertaking investigations regarding the most efficient way of completing these works.
As Greenway Park is a very busy park, the works on the building are being scheduled around oval bookings (in-particular school carnivals), to minimise impact to the community.
June 2024
In June 2024, Council will commence construction on the lower level of the community building at Greenway Park.
The works include:
- Changerooms and associated sporting amenities (e.g. First Aid and Referee Rooms)
- Canteen
- Club storage
- Multi-functional area
- Tiered spectator seating
- Power and water upgrade to the site
Following completion of the above works, the existing changerooms will be converted to public toilets.
The works are scheduled to be completed by early – mid 2025.
During construction the new staircase will be fenced off and unavailable for use. The existing staircase attached to the brick building and the existing ramp will remain open to access the top oval. Both ovals will be open and available for use.
