Edward Bennett Oval

The DRAFT Edward Bennett Oval Landscape Masterplan sets the long term vision for capital works upgrades within the park. The masterplan went on public exhibition from November 14 to 28, 2022. The consultation period has now closed for this project.

Key features of the landscape masterplan include:

  • Water harvesting basins funded by the CRR
  • Sandstone seating walls located for viewing the field
  • 2m wide concrete pedestrian circuit path totalling 390m long including new links to Edward Bennett Drive
  • Fitness trail with fitness pods and interval elements up the existing mound north of the oval
  • Boardwalk over revegetated area
  • Upgrades to playground. At this stage the playground upgrade is only shown as concept and further community consultation will occur when the design is further developed. The playground will become a district level playground.
  • New amenities block

The project is jointly funded by the NSW Government in association with Hornsby Shire Council.
