Charles Curtis Park, Normanhurst
Council undertook preliminary community consultation in October/ November 2024 to capture what are the needs, aspirations and preferences of the community to inform proposed renewal works at the park. A draft concept plan will be developed in early 2025.
The concept design will consider:
- The overall vision for the park.
- The arrangement of paths, playground, and fencing.
- Possible improvements to park facilities.
- Upgrades to park signage in accordance with Council’s Signage Manual.
- Areas for new planting.
- Location of shade
Charles Curtis Park exists to serve the local community. Council’s Play Plan identifies the playspace as a Local Level play space and any new developments will reflect this level of service provision.
Following the development of a draft concept plan a second round of community consultation will be undertaken and further amendments will be undertaken to incorporate the feedback received.
Detail design will be undertaken following consultation with funding to be allocated in the 2025/26 budget for construction.
