Charles Curtis Park, Normanhurst
Council undertook preliminary community consultation in October/ November 2024 to capture what are the needs, aspirations and preferences of the community to inform proposed renewal works at the park.
A DRAFT Landscape concept plan was put on exhibition in March 2025. Council are now currently reviewing the plan to take on board comments received in round two of community consultation. An updated plan will be uploaded to this page when it is available and those who have made a submission will be notified once the plan is finalised in the next few months.
The DRAFT Landscape concept design considers:
- The overall vision for the park.
- The arrangement of paths, playground, and fencing.
- Possible improvements to park facilities.
- Upgrades to park signage in accordance with Council’s Signage Manual.
- Areas for new planting.
- Location of shade
Charles Curtis Park exists to serve the local community. Council’s Play Plan identifies the playspace as a Local Level play space and any new developments will reflect this level of service provision.
Detail design will proceed based off the amended plan that is issued following the second round of community consultation that was undertaken in March 2025. Funding will be allocated in the 2025/26 budget for construction.
