Carrs Bush Playground Renewal
Renewal works at Carrs Bush Playground included replacement of deteriorated timber playground equipment, construction of new concrete paths through the playspace and installation of new rubber softfall around existing play equipment.
November 2023 Update
New rubber softfall has been installed around the swing set and carousel. The garden beds have been topped up with new mulch and additional grasses added. Renewal works are now complete.
October 2023 Update
Concrete path works are now complete. New drainage and sand have been placed in the sandpit below the water pump and additional plants have been installed into surrounding garden beds.
New rubber softfall will be installed around the carousel and swings in mid October. These works are additional to the initial scope of work and are being carried out to improve the playground surfacing around these popular pieces of equipment. The swings and carousel will be temporarily closed to the community while these works are carried out.
September 2023 Update
Renewal of deteriorated timber elements is now complete. Work is now commencing on the concrete paths around the playground. This work will be completed in sections to ensure the majority of play equipment remains available for use while these works are undertaken.
August 2023 Update
Work has commenced on the renewal of timber play elements in the log climb nature play area. These works include installation of a new inclined ‘spidergon’ climbing net, a log scramble cluster and a timber tunnel.
