Ron Payne Park, North Epping Proposed Bio-Filtration Basin and Water Harvesting
The proposed works include construction of a biofiltration basin with water harvesting. The aim of this work is to improve the ecological health of Devlins Creek by improving water quality, providing habitat & minimising ongoing erosion and pollution in the waterway. The biofiltration basin will capture litter and prevent excessive organic matter, sediment and nutrients from entering the creek. Water storage tanks will also be installed under the basin area to allow future reuse for irrigating Ron Payne Park. Suitable vegetation will also be planted in the basin and surrounding area.
The works are anticipated to start in October 2021 and take approximately 12 weeks dependent on the weather. Please note the proposed works are expected to cause some temporary disruption and inconvenience, mainly with regards construction noise and the possibility of limited on-street parking outside your property during the works.
