Gross Pollutant Trap – Water Street, Hornsby
The proposed works include installation of a Gross Pollutant Trap and stormwater diversion pipes, as well as construction of stormwater pits. The aim of these works is to improve the ecological health of Hornsby Creek by improving water quality.
It is expected that the proposed works will cause some temporary inconvenience and disruption to road users and nearby residents, mainly from excavation, construction noise, storage of construction materials and sheds in the road reserve & Beatrice Thomson Park, as well as temporary loss of on-street parking in the vicinity of the proposed works. Traffic control measures will be implemented to minimise disruptions.
