Pennant Hills Park Walking Track Upgrades
As identified in Councils Walking and Cycling Strategy, this project involves construction of a new bushland walking track link in Pennant Hills Park as part of the Pennant Hills Park Masterplan works.
The 800m length walking track will have six access points and links the existing Mambara Track to the Fire Trail near the Archery Range. This creates a new opportunity to experience the 5.7km long circuit walk known as the ‘Whale Rock Loop’ completely immersed in bushland.
Following recent public consultation and completion of the appropriate environmental assessment, works will commence shortly.
Works include:
- Vegetation and drainage management
- Installation of 1m wide sandstone steps
- Stepping stones over creek lines
- Installation of wayfinding signs
Works are expected to be completed by February 2023, weather permitting.
Works will take place between 7am-5pm, Monday to Friday with no work on weekends or public holidays.
