Story Park Community Centre about to go up

Hornsby Shire Council’s development of Storey Park is on track with the foundation and concrete floor finished, giving way for the steel frame of the new community centre to be assembled.
“Despite a slight initial delay in December due to storms and heavy rain it’s good to see we are back on track again,” Hornsby Shire Mayor Philip Ruddock said.
“If we can keep this up and all goes according to plan the local residents will be able to enjoy this new facility with a modern playground and surrounding park by the end of this year.”
Storey Park’s new state-of-the-art space will include:
- multipurpose rooms, ideal for a wide range of events and activities
- park facilities with a children’s bike path
- plenty of shade and seating
- barbecue and picnic areas
- onsite parking
- fully landscaped surrounds including over 100 new trees
- a fenced inclusive play environment for various age groups, featuring an adventure area and shade covered play equipment for younger children
