Hornsby Shire Council Waste Depot

Waste Hotline and Customer Service Counter

• Closed 11.30am until close of business Friday, 20 December 2024
• Closed from 12pm Tuesday, 24 December 2024, reopening 8.30am Thursday, 2 January 2025.
• Please note:
  • To report a missed bin collection, call the Waste Hotline on 13 70 30 and follow the prompts.
  • To report a damaged bin or other non-urgent matter, call the Waste Hotline on 13 70 30 and follow the prompts to leave a message. Your call will be returned on reopening after Thursday 2 January 2025.

Bin Collection Services

• There are no changes to bin collection days over the holiday period
• Collection services occurring on Public Holidays will commence from 4am
• Collection times may differ over this period, ensure all bins are placed out the evening prior to your collection day.

Thornleigh Community Recycling Centre (CRC)

• Closed from 12pm Tuesday 24 December 2024, reopening 8:30am Thursday  2 January, 2025
• In the lead up to Christmas, and on reopening, there is high demand causing queues and delays
• Traffic management will be in place during this busy period
• Check the webpage for more details to plan your visit to the CRC.
• Please note:
  • The CRC is a drive through facility only. Walk-ins are strictly prohibited for safety reasons.

Mount Kuring-gai Household Recycling Drop Off

• Open 24/7, including public holidays, at 5 Beaumont Road, Mount Kuring-gai
• Drive in and drop off excess flattened cardboard, mixed recycling, and eligible Return and Earn containers.
• Please note:
  • This service is for household waste only.
