Nathan Tilbury was first elected as Councillor representative in 2012 and has served since. He genuinely knows and cares for his community. He is well known for his empathetic approach and his ability to listen to all residents, no matter how large or small their issue may be.

In this term of Council, my priorities include:

  • Putting Hornsby Shire residents first and achieving the best result for them.
  • Protecting our unique natural environment, especially our bushland and health of the Hawkesbury River.
  • Preserving our heritage and supporting residents in need, particularly in times of crises.
  • Ending inappropriate development, solving parking issues and helping Council focus on providing infrastructure such as new and improved sports facilities, playgrounds with shade sails and footpath networks right across the Shire.

Background:

  • Nathan is well known for his contribution to local community groups previously serving as President of Hornsby, Ku-ring-gai and Hills District Cricket Association and on the Executive of the Ku-ring-gai Netball Association.
  • He was part of the original committee responsible for delivering the Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Women’s Shelter and served on their Board for five years.
  • Since 2016 he has served as Vice President of the Hornsby Historical Society. He is also a passionate mountain biker.
