A four week program for young scientists aged 6 to 8 years presented by the Children’s Discovery Museum. Participants will be able to learn and explore themes from different branches of science through numerous practical experiments.

Session 1: Water Works

Monday 31 Aug, 4pm-5pm
Water may be essential to life on Earth, but it does so much more! In this workshop, we explore the wonderful water molecule through a series of wet and wild challenges.

Session 2: Sound of Silence

Monday 7 Sep, 4pm-5pm
Is silence a sound? In this workshop we explore how sound is created, how it travels and how we hear it in a series of hands (and ears) on sound experiments.

Session 3: Wind Things

Monday 14 Sep, 4pm-5pm
Find out what it takes to ‘lift off’! In this workshop we explore the science of flight through a series of construction activities to take home. Investigate the roles of lift, drag, thrust and weight to explain how things fly!

Session 4: Unbelieva-bubbles

Monday 21 Sep, 4pm-5pm
Don’t burst your bubble! Use your scientific investigation skills to explain how bubbles work, while also learning to master the art of Bubbleology!.

Ages: Strictly 6-8 years. Children 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
